The Indian edition of my latest book Evidence of Suspicion will be launched in Delhi today. Lawrence Wright, a writer I admire very much and whose Looming Tower I have used in my “Literature of 9/11″ course, will do the honors.

(P.S. It was a wonderful event. Thanks to all my friends who came. The photo above was taken by Neeraj Priyadarshi.)

Tonight, after the event, I will go to Jaipur where the literature festival starts tomorrow. Here’s William Dalrymple on the festival’s charms. On the first day, I’m on a panel with Amit Chaudhuri, Andrew O’Hagan, Geoff Dyer, and Nilanjana Roy; and on the last day, I get to introduce my main man Hanif Kureishi. I liked this report which informs us that Dalit literature will be a point of emphasis at Jaipur. I’m excited about it all.
